Financial loss and hardship is an all-too-common form of grief. While you may think of grief only as death or divorce, any kind of change in the familiar patterns or behaviors of your life can cause grief. If there is one thing that both causes and affects almost every facet of our life, it is money. The lack of it seeps into each and every decision we make.
These days, most of us know at least one person – if not more –who is struggling to put food on the table. This no longer applies only to the “chronically poor.” One school cafeteria worker told me free/reduced lunches are now served to the kids you least expect. And Peachtree Corners is no exception!
This week I learned of a great service – OneHarvest – whose mission is to put affordable food in the hands of anyone who needs it. As such, I am excited to dedicate this week's blog to OneHarvest. Please read and share the following excerpts about One Harvest.

The current fiscal crisis is causing carnage throughout the global economy. Thousands of American families, torn from lives of careless comfort, are stranded and searching for ways to make ends meet.
Where can once-proud Americans still find a low-cost solution to feed their families?
OneHarvest Food Ministries is a monthly food program run through local churches and non-profit organizations to help people in their community receive high-quality food at a price they can afford.
The food is purchased ahead of time and is delivered once a month to local partner sites.
The food boxes can be purchased either online or in person, and will be picked up at a designated time on delivery day.
